I added a Temperature control to a freezer so I can start brewing some lagers. I figured for my first run I would do a really easy Coopers Australian Draught. The instructions were basically crap that come with it so I just went on instinct.
Boiled up 2 gallon of water.
Added Coopers LME and boiled about 10 minutes.
Added 2#'s Light Pilsen DME and boiled another 10 minutes.
Cooled the wort to 80 and added enough water for an SG of 1.042
Pitched the dry yeast packet and placed it in the cooler
24 hours later my indicated wort temperature is 52 degrees.
No activity so I stir the crap out of it.
48 hours and Im getting a bubble about every 2 minutes through the airlock.
I did a really ghetto quick boil on this. Its to damn hot to sweat over a hot liquor tank.
Let it ride or head to my brew supply store and pitch more yeast on it?
