noun: mishmash;
a confused mixture.
Hello!
I lurk and I lurk.. and now I post!
I have brewed a few thousand gallons in the past, almost started a brewery (wife banker talked me out if it) and even "guest brewed" at a local (Seattle area) commercial brewery a few times.
I then started an IT business and quickly forgot everything I knew about brewing (16 hours days for 2 years to get going).
I have decided to "hop" into the hobby again with full gusto and already purchased a new Ss Brew Technologies 5gal batch size kit (dual 10gal tuns (one for HLT), BME kettle, Conical, quick discos, silicon, pump, etc).
My previous home system was a fully automated 20gal Blichmann RIMs tree, that I liked - but couldn't reach (5'9" with shoes on!).
My favorite beer is a boring double IPA, followed next by a slightly-to-sweet sour. I dislike Belgium beers or creams (to fruity for my tastes). Fruity Belgium people are fine though.
I'm excited to join the HBT community to share my experiences with a new take on an old hobby, to regain my lost brewing knowledge and to glean as many new ideas as I can!
~Cheers
