hello, In middle of research to up my electric brewing game.
love my induction burner but time to gain better temp control.
still not sure about rims tube or electric kettle, either way will be going rims setup.
i can go nice controller with heated rims tube, but if want new pot, then can't afford controller at this time.
while searching online keep finding both eBay and stores offering either ranch 15amp or Johnson 15a controllers for basic heat control, are these two controllers really an option for brewing? i thought like etc-1000 they where for fermentation, weather i go tube or settle will be a single 1650watt or 1500watt 15 amp coil, keeping my induction for faster heat ups and boil, using the coil just to control heat during mash, will be single vessel biab rims.

I sometime BIAB with a RIMS tube. Also control a 1650W element with an A419, but use a router speed control along with it. I find the combination better at dialing in the mash temperature than just the on/off control of the Johnson.
