So when I do a mashout I use what temp of water? I'm mashing at 150-1 right now for 65. I was going to mashout for 10 minutes then sparge...

Speaking of... what temp water do you sparge w???
 
You need to infuse it with enough boiling water to get it up to 170. Then I sparge with 170 degree water.
 
Thanks man. I did something right as my parboil was 1.040. Of course I forgot to add .33 lb of sugar. Oh we'll. my eff is going to be higher than I estimated.
 
OG after cooling was 1.049... estimate was 1.050 w/ the sugar added. I'm very happy. Sitting close to 78% efficiency! Not bad for my first alone AG
