March pump (SS809) fell off mounting plate

I have a fairly new pump that crapped off the mounting plate.
It works well, but not impressed with the tiny mounting surface that attaches to the plate.
I'm thinking of taking it to someone who can spot weld it.
Looking for any other insights?

Happened to my green chugger. I took some wire, think it was picture hanging wire, wrapped to around the motor and plate and twisted it tight.

Happened to 2 of my chuggers, I used my little mig welder and tacked it on each side. Never had a problem again. I didnt really consider the potential issues that it could have caused the motor but luckily everything was fine..
