Ellis Island has a microbrewery (supposedly, I don't go there). There's a Gordon Biersch but that's not really a micro.. Sin City Brewing has two places one inside the venetian and one inside the flamingo. Most of their brews are forgettable though. If it were up to me, I'd be going to Big Dog's. It's the closest one to the strip and really good. It's on the corner of Sahara and Torrey Pines if you're interested (about 15 min from the strip).

Yup big dogs or Tenya Creek, their beer is decent. Nothing really special in the way of microbrews in Vegas.

You could allways go to Aces and Ales, they have a lot of microbrews and some harder to find beers every now and then. Not their own BTW.

It's really disappointing that Las Vegas isn't packed full of Microbreweries. You would think that kind of thing would go over really well.

I would suggest Ellis Island. It is not right on the strip. We actually walked there one day and we were staying at the Wynn for a work conference. They have tall beers for $1.50. We drank the Oktoberfest, it was great!
I guess Ellis Island has a great BBQ joint too! Have fun.

If you like people watching (my favorite part of Vegas) Karaoke at Ellis Island is the place to go. Beer is ok... nothing special but super cheap. I remember something like dollar micro brews after 2 am or something insane like that. Been five years though should check if that's a draw for you.

There is also Freakin' Frog - A Vegas Original. 4700 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, Nevada. They usually got some beer on tap you won't see many places. Also the list of beers fits snugly inside a 2 inch binder so your sure to find something awesome in there.

Lose some money. That's part of it. But don't loose it all the house always wins.

Want anymore suggestions of **** to do send me a pm.

Have fun.

I really like Teneya Creek, they offer discounts to AHA members and have a pretty good selection. Its not close to the strip but worth the visit IMO.

Sin City makes a good hefeweizen. I didn't like any of the other beers but my wife and I drink copious amounts of the hefe. When we were there over the summer it was $8 for a pitcher so we each drank an entire pitcher. That happened more than once.

The Pub in Monte Carlo is not a brewery but they have a great selection (albiet a little pricey) and you'll find some of the local beers. It's the best place I've found without leaving the strip.

You should check out town square. South on the strip past all the casinos. They have the Yardhouse (over 100 beers on tap), dueling piano bar, and Miller's ale house.

New York New York has a place called 24 pours. they have good beer and are open all night.
Then there is the Yard House. it's more of a locals place. great beer it's located in the mall area south of the strip. (short cab ride)
