I have been brewing for about four years and have always brewed ales. Next weekend I am going to brew a Bohemian Pilsner which requires lager yeast. I always make yeast starters for my ales but got to thinking; should my starter be processed at the same temperature that I will be fermenting my beer? My target fermentation for my beer will be 50f. I have the equipment to dial in any temp i need. I need some good advice from experienced brewers on this one. Cheers!
