Doing my first lager and the ambient temperature and so is the wort. I'm just wondering if the fermentation of the Lager raises the fermentation temperatures like ale's do or not? Thanks everyone, tried to Google this but couldn't find an answer.

Not as much, lager fermentation is not quite as vigorous so it doesn't have the potential to raise the temp as much.

Put in a bucket of water with one frozen bottle to keep it more steady at 48 F instead of 52 F.
