Hello Ladies and Gentz,

This is my first post, I've been a regular cruiser of homebrewtalk, recently and decided to finally join... I've searched all I could, but I haven't found any good info on how much lactic acid to add to my American/Belgian Cherry Sour Ale (5 gal batch). Any help will be greatly appreciated. THanks!

PS.
I want a sour beer, not a super sour beer.

You're the only person who can decide how much to add. Otherwise you're relying on someone else's perception of sour, which might be VERY different.

Get an eyedropper. Add metered amounts of lactic to known amount of beer, and decide which one you like. Then scale up: you can add a couple drops to each bottle, or do the whole batch at once (make sure to stir it up if you go this route).

Alright, I will take your advice, we are bottling tomorrow... I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for your input.
