Usually base my recipes on a compilation of recipes, opinions, and reviews of a beer I like but I can't find much recipe info on La Trappe Dubbel. Based on #'s from BLAM. Anyone heard of a clone for La Trappe Dubbel? Any opinions? Here's what I've come up with so far.

Batch Size (G): 5.5
Original Gravity (OG): 1.066
Final Gravity (FG): 1.012
Alcohol by Volume (ABV): 7.00 %
Colour (SRM): 36.9
Bitterness (IBU): 13.4
Brewhouse Efficiency (%): 70

10.000 lb Pilsner
1.000 lb Candi Syrup, D
1.000 lb Candi Syrup, D2
0.800 lb Caramunich I
0.500 lb Black Malt, Belgian, Debittered (Cold steep and add to sparge)

Mashing Sacc at 156 to get the low attenuation for a Belgian strain needed for this.

0.50 oz Perle Pellet (6.5% Alpha) @ 90 Minutes

Thinking of exnaying the Black malt and just using black food coloring, avoid any roasted flavor all together even if it is minimal with the cold steeping.
