I just got a bunch of Nalgene 3L PPCO bottles with mason jar threads leftover from a project at work and want to use them for some small batch ferments. I'm having a hard time finding a lot of info on PPCO vs other plastics and thought I'd see if anyone around here could tell me more. They seem to be food safe and comparable to HDPE as far as gas permeability goes, so I'm sure I'm fine as far as food storage goes. Any cleaners to avoid or worrysome pH levels, etc?
