I'm building a new kegerator out of a Kenmore 8.8 cubic foot chest freezer. I will be removing the lid entirely. Can I simply unplug the cord to the lid lamp and the high temp alarm or will I need to jump some of the connections?

I haven't looked at it all that closely, thought I'd see if anyone has experience with it first.

I have been trying to figure out how to kill the alarm on my kenmore 19.7 cu ft.
Hopefully someone on here knows how to disable the alarm.

I had to cut the cord on the alarm in order to put the collar on. No issues, I just taped the ends and left it unhooked.

Found this in another thread about the 8.8 Kenmore. I'll just unhook it and give it a test run.

Unplugged the chord to the lid with no negative results. Freezer runs as it should. Disconnecting the chord only disconnects the light and the alarm, as far as I can tell.
