For anybody like me who digs guitar playing and loves Van Halen check out Joe Satriani playing the opening to Mean Streets by Van Halen. RIP Eddie, in my mind one of the greatest guitarist who ever strapped on a guitar.

Thanks for posting. Eddie was one of a kind. He pulled a sound out of his guitar that became the signature of rock music. If I had to pick one guitar player to fill his shoes, it would also be Joe Satriani. He is an absolute monster and also pulls a distinct sound out of a guitar. He has done well to mimic Eddie's crunch as well as lively sense of time. Eddie was the time keeper in Van Halen. The two Anthony brothers just held on for the ride imho.
