...and things are going swell!
This is day 14 of my first brew, a "Texas," red ale.
Decided to go ahead and use the secondary. Why? Because I have it. And because, this being my first brew, I want to get the whole experience involved.
Maybe later, I'll forego the secondary. It's kind of a pain being in an apartment. Then again...so is cleaning the crap out of the primary after fermentation, but that's another story. A hose would make life so much easier.
At any rate, gave it a taste when I was done and boy, it tastes like beer! Good sign.
It actually tasted like a fairly bitter beer with...lots of sugar involved.
ANYHOW. I think life will be good here in another week or so, when I bottle.
