I have a recipe for a Dunkelweisen that calls for the following:
Grains
4oz Belgian Aromatic
8oz Belgian CaraMunich
4ox Belgian Special B
Extract
1lb light DME
6lb Wheat Extract
in looking on my LHBS's website, they have
Grains
Aromatic Malt 20 L (Belgian)
Caramunich 70 L (Belgian)
Special B 180 L (Belgian)
Extract
Wheat Malt (60% wheat 40% malt) (1 lb) $6 a pound!
Munton's Wheat Dried Malt Extract (65% wheat 35% malt) (3 lb) $16 for 3 lbs
Coopers Light Dried Malt Extract (3 lb) $15 for 3 lbs
____________________________________________________________
SO, as far as my n00b brain can tell, I should be ok, but I'm confused about the weat extracts. Would one be better than the other based on the wheat% to malt %?.
