I was at work today and got a call to my mobile asking to speak to me by my full name which was strange.

Turned out it was a detective from the nz police drug squad. Apparently ordering scientific glassware from china raised a few flags lol.

The full name was interesting as my packages have what I'm normally called by and not full name. They had obviously done some checking before ringing me and seamed to accept I'm using it for homebrew yeast propergation so hopefully they dont break my door down at 3am lol.

He said he would release my package so i should get it in a day or two.

Pleasant guy to talk to so no issues.
He asked my if i had any beer styles i specialised it etc.
I had nothing to hide so didn't mind the call as they do have a lot of issues with meth cooks etc.

I'm sure it could have gone different if i failed the attitude test lol.

Ha--what a great story!

Reminds me of a tiny brush with the law I had (your last line is what really made me think of it). It was different though because in my case the cop checked me out (pulled me over) for no reason. His stated reason for stopping me was total BS. I had a good attitude about it because I figured he had some reason for suspecting me, even though I hadn't a clue what that might have been. And I knew asking him what the real reason is would not provide any insight but rather just piss him off, so I ended up being perfectly nice. But then I thought about how my attitude would have been different if it WASN'T the first time I was stopped for no reason...
