Brewed a dry-hopped amber and my OG was not high enough to give me the hoped-for ABV by the timne the fermentation finished. I kegged it. It tastes good. But I'd like to "spike it up" just a hair. Can I add vodka, everclear, or even some bourbon to the corny and, if so, how much of what per gallon?
Thanks!

Honestly, if it tastes good, I'd just drink it and shoot for a higher ABV next time. By chasing a number, you may end up with 5 gallons of something undrinkable. If anything, pull a pint and add some bourbon to your glass.

I believe one can use this method to determine the resulting ABV after adding a volume of spirits.

((O * s) + (A * p)) / (O + A)

Where:

O - the original volume, in quarts
s - the % ABV of the original volume
A - the volume of spirits to add, in quarts
p - the % ABV of the spirits

No doubt I shall be pounced upon if I'm wrong...

Cheers! :D
