Haven't brewed in a little over year, life changes, etc, blah blah blah. Decided least week that it was time. I'm doing two all grain batches today... first up is a Scottish 80 shilling and then a Magic Hat clone, except will be adding apple instead of apricot. Should be interesting.
Had to "knock of some rust. " Amazing how not doing this for a year makes you forget the finer points. So far so go though. I struck in where I needed but was a bit suprised when the mash came out at 7 degress less than I wanted it. ... I forgot to preheat the cooler. I brought the temp right up with adding some boiling water and nailed the temp.
This is all worth it. Havin' fun. Just rolling with it.
