Normally when I collect yeast to re-use I collect everything from the bottom of my conical and store it in the refrigerator for up to a week in a clean jar and pitch that entire jar into the new wort. On Saturday I collected the mess from the bottom of the conical and washed it to give that a try. I now have a little less than 1 cup of thick yeast slurry. I'm brewing tonight (Tuesday) and plan on pitching the slurry without a starter since the yeas is fresh. How much slurry do I pitch?
