I'm using noddy ale yeast at 65. Pitched a week ago, in a brown ale. OG 1.053. Currently it's at 1.015, yesterday it was 1.016. Any ideas on where this yeast will take me? I figure it must be close to being finished.

i've had it go as low as 1.008 but it depends a lot on your recipe. in the neighborhood of 1.015 would be good for a brown ale though

I don't have specific experience with that yeast, however I typically wait at least 10 days before racking to secondary and longer if needed. Since I use secondary I tend to base when I rack more on the Krauzen before checking a gravity reading. If the Krauzen is down and your gravity is 1.015, you might still get a couple more points, however it may be done.

The rule of thumb is 3 days where the specific gravity does not change.

Yep - it depends. It can go to .998, or 1.020. Consistent readings are the answer.
