Don't know anything about foodsavers, but my $8 battery operated pump, and $10 mason jar sealer work great.

It works great. Been using it for 2 years. Once and a while the bags inflate a bit but not often. We reuse the bags over and over.

Can you give more info on how this process works? It seems like it would take up less space than the ziplocks I am using.

i wanna know how the mason jar deal works, and where i can get a sealer for my mason jars.


i just stick the hops in a zip lock bag in the freeze.... not perfect, but it works.

I have the professonal series. I've had it for 10 years now and it is still going like a champ. The professonal series has a bigger motor and pump if I'm not mistaken, so it can seal tons of bags in a row without shutting down or over heating. I got it free though a hotel rewards progam so price was not really an issue.
Another thing is to buy your bags at Sam's club if you can. They have a combination of bags (like 5 rolls and a bunch of already made bags) for $39.99, can't beat that price when compared to buying them seperate.
