Hop shot... tips

I'm mashing for a big black IIPA now - using a hop shot syringe for the first time as FWH in an hour or 2. I kept this in my fridge so it's a bit cold. Should I warm it up?

Since I have not used this before I wonder if anyone has any gotcha tips so far as the stickiness and dispensing is concerned etc.? I'm using the whole thing...

i've used it once - just squeeze it on in - but keep your spoons or paddles away until it's mixed in... took a bit of scrubbing to get off
