Hello just getting in to REAL BEER. I love beer but got sick of the mass produced beer I was buying until I watch BEER WARS. Now I know what BEER is. LOL. I would love to learn the art of brewing. I think I came to the right place.

Welcome aboard! Wish I had this resource when I first started~ I still get great info every time I ask for help!

IMHO start with light dry malt extract and steep your grains to get the color and flavor you want. you will get a fresher tasting final brew than using amber and dark malt extracts...

liquid malt extracts darken your beer, and you have less control with the pre-hopped liquid malt extracts. add your own hops... you'll get closer to what you want.

just a few problems I had to work through. my 2¢. read "joy of home brewing" plenty of great recipes there too!

post away!
