Hello from Salt lake Utah

Hello, My name is Scott, I live in the Salt lake valley. I wanted to try home brewing about a year ago, when a friend bought a brewing kit. He let me barrow his equipment to it out, now I'm hooked. I've been brewing for about 8 months, I started off with a few Wheat beers and a Belgian White, but now I'm trying out dark ale's and stouts. I've had a lot of fun with my new hobby and in a state that doesn't have a huge beer selection its nice to be able to make your own. Since I started I've had two other friends start to brew, so it's been nice to swap beers and ideas.

Nice! It's great to have others to share the learning and the experience. I would recommend you do what I did and go in with your buddies on a big beer, like a barleywine, just for the experience of it.
