Hello from Lake Worth, FL

Hi everyone, newbie here living in Lake Worth, FL. Came across this forum from my local HB shop website and have been lurking for a bit. Looking forward to brewing my first batch soon as I get all my equipment straightened out.

Any suggestions for a first (extract) brew? I was thinking of going with a porter, but I am open to suggestions from the peanut gallery.

For a first batch, I'd go with a basic pale ale recipe. A porter would be great a little further down your pipeline.
A simple pale ale will help you see the process, and it will be ready to drink quicker. I remember having a hard time waiting to try my first homebrew.
