Welcome to the club! I brewed in my non-insulated garage last weekend in Livonia.. Sunday was a balmy 38 degrees which was nice! Doors closed I got it up to 60-some and took off the heavy coat.
This weekend I am doing (2) stouts back-to-back... with expected high temperature of 19F I will be firing up the extra Hellfire burners for heat!
Winter brewing in Michigan has its advantages:
1. Cool down time is SUPER fast
2. You only have to worry about heating the fermenting chamber
3. No bugs!!
