After googling brewing questions for the past month and being directed to HBT every time, and getting great answers, I figured it was time to join the fun.

I want to thank everyone on here for all their brewing knowledge. It helped me brew, ferment, keg and serve my first beer (Kölsch) in almost 8 years without a hitch.

Thanks everyone. I just stepped it up two notches thanks to the site. I just purchased a refractometer and with the help of the guys at Homebrew Emporium in Weymouth I was able to start my first non-kit batch. I'm trying to reproduce one of my favorite beers that I can't get in the US, Granville Island Brewery's Lion's Winter Ale. There was a recipie posted right here, go figure.
