Hello, hope I get a quick reply. I’m getting ready to brew a wheat beer extract kit. I was wondering if I can use a flocculation tablet in the brew for this type of beer. I’m using a tablet that goes in at the last 10-15 minutes of the boil. I used one on my last brew, a brown ale, and the result was very good.

Like day_trippr, I use whirlfloc in everything I brew—with the exception of wheat beers. Hefes and wits are beers that I want to show yeast haze, US wheats are a judgement call.

It won’t hurt anything if you use the whirlfloc tablet, I’m just cheap and prefer to save the tablet on beers that don’t clearly need it.

I hope that makes sense.
