So, I've got a chest freezer in the garage which I use for fermenting lager in the warmer months. With the coming months I'm installing a heater in there (Johnson A419). It's not a big freezer (7.2 cu) but certainly not small.

Damned if I can figure out how to fit more than one fermenter in there though.

Has anyone been able to do so without installing a collar or something?

What brand freezer and what type of fermenters?

I have the GE 7.0cf chest freezer and I easily fit two 6 gallon better bottles on the floor, no collar.

Here's what I did. I rarely ever use carboys or BBs, so I build a small shelve in mine, so I could do two buckets. You need to use a blow off tube for the top bucket, but it works perfect for me.
