hey everyone.

so i just finished my first solo brew on wednesday night, using this recipe:
http://www.tastybrew.com/newrcp/detail/301

my OG was 1.050 (1.048 actually, but i pitched really close to 80, so i corrected for temperature) so i was really happy to be that close for my first try...
and now it's happily bubbling away in my closet.

now in the recipe, it says it should be ready for crashing and kegging at 9-10 days. i'm planning on bottling.
so my question is: is that just an unreasonably short time to be ready for bottle? too good to be true? i know it won't be hurt by leaving it in primary longer, and i'm going to take FG readings before i move forward...
but is it even possible?

patience is a virtue, but i'm not a virtuous man.

Yes, it is possible for your beer to be done in 10 days. It is also possible that it's not. If you are bottling, you want to make sure it's done through consistent gravity readings over 3 days. The extra few days will also help it clean up and clear out. 2-3 weeks is probably better, depending on your beer.
