So my friends and I after our first beer made a cider as our second batch ever.
We used 5 Gallons of cider (Hot pasteurized but no preservatives), 2 lbs Brown Sugar, Red Star Cote Des Blancs Yeast.
OG was 1.060.
We racked to secondary yesterday after 3 weeks in primary.
SG reading was 0.990
AVB approx. 9.18%
And it doesn't look like it is done.
Tasted it and it definitely needs conditioning but was good just very DRY.
So this isn't actually what we expected (Mostly due to ignorance maybe).
But is there any thing that we can do prior to bottling that could sweeten some of this up for those that aren't into such dry tasting drinks?
Thanks,
Brad
