Did my first brew with my new 15 gal blichmann boilermaker. It was a 5 gallon batch of cream of three crops. Started the boil with about 7 gallons, so the thermometer was pretty much useless. I really liked having all the extra room in the brew pot, never having to worry about a boilover is really nice.

The only problem I had was with the pot being so big it doesnt fit great on my small turkey fryer burner.

I've found that setting the (rectangular) grate from my grill on the burner underneath the kettle really helps stabalize everything. The last thing you would want is for the pot to fall over mid boil :)

I wasnt too worried about it tipping over with only the 5 gallon in there but if it was full it might be a little more topheavy. I guess this means I need to build a brewstand. :)
