Hi there,

I'm in the process of building my 2.5 gal homebrew system for a small apartment. It includes a kegging system and fermentation chamber which are one of the last items in my checklist before I can start.

For the fermentation chamber I'm thinking of going with a 7 cubic ft chest freezer and use it as both a keezer and fermentation chamber. This way I can ferment lagers while serving from draft and bottle it with a beer gun whenever I want to ramp the temp up to ferment ales.

Was wondering for recommendations or if anyone has tried this setup before and has an idea of any issues with it.

Sounds like you got it all figured out...the only thing i can input is get the biggest chest freezer that you can fit i have a 7 cuft keezer that i bought years ago thinking it would fit my needs only to wish i got a 16 cuft
