I finished my first two batches of brew last night. One a barley wine 1.110 OG and one a double ipa 1.078 OG. I put them in a room at 63*f and set a space heater to 63*f. I checked on it today and the dang space heater warmed the room to 70*f. I put a probe on the buckets and one was 72*f and one was 74*f. I abandoned the space heater and am slowley bringing the room down. The room was probably that high for 12-24 hours. Should I be worried?

I know its still in the temp range for the yeast. I'm just worried about it being too hot for the barley wine. It already has such a high abv . I don't want to end up with realy hot tasting brew.

I am pretty sure with the long term aging on the barley wine it will offset the very minimal harm the beer may have suffered at the higher temps. Put your fears aside and rdwhahb
