I picked up a grab bag of parts this weekend and in the mix were two (sealed) faucets. My question is...how do I tell if these are stainless steel or chrome plated. I have perlicks on my keezer...they look and feel similar to those. Any ideas?

Stainless has a slightly blue tint, where chrome plating does not.
Stainless is slightly dull when compared to chrome (even when the stainless is highly polished).

Based on the photo I think that is a chrome plated faucet, but it's still inthe bag, and the differences between the two are difficult to capture in a photo.
Set it beside a fitting that you know is either stainless or chrome plated and compare.

I think it may be stainless because most chrome plated brass faucets have an unplated stem. Speaking of the stem, the end of the threaded portion would be a fine place to try scratching off the chrome to look for brass.
