Before I added this false bottom there were times my filter , pump and ball and valve had to be cleared because they plugged. Its amazing how much it helps especially with big hoppy brews. OP OP Z zacko Member Joined Aug 29, 2020 Messages 8 Reaction score 2 Sep 2, 2020 #4 gotcha'. my 1st guess was that it would help prevent scorching grain on the bottom.
