Excessive foam!!

What can I do to stop all this foam from clogging my blowoff tube and causing a blow-off!? I'm really worried its gonna blow off.

Cooler fermentation temperature, less wort in the fermenter and/or Fermcap-s.

I stopped using the 5 gallon carboys - 6.5 gallon works perfect for the 5 gallon batch.

Wait til after primary fermentation is complete before you pitch your yeast.

If you're using a glass carboy you can use a 1" blowoff tube by just jamming it into the neck of the carboy. No hood or stopper needed. Nothing is every going to clog a 1" hose.
