Hi Everyone, I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to. Im still fairly new to brewing and when i look at recipes I notice people who use multiple hop variaties will add one hop at 30 mins one hope at 20 and another hop at 10.
Why wouldn't you use equal amounts of hops at each stage? Is it the AA level? Generally, when Im designed a recipe I want to obtain an equal flavor profile from all hops in the beer. I assume when staggering hops you are looking for one hop to pop a little more than the others?

There's no right way or wrong way it's all about achieving the intended effect of the brewer. Combine that with different flavor & bittering profiles of various hops along with differences in boil times and it leaves open lots of possibilities.
