I emailed this guy regarding the prices of this barrels and received a suprising response.

Turns out the 5, 15, 30 and 55 drums are a flat rate of 15 bucks, with a flat rate of 30 for shipping.

55 gallon drum for 45 bucks isnt too bad.

I have a 15 gal white one just like that that I bought from US Plastics in Lima OH. Works well but it get heavy with 10 gals in it!

Anybody use something like this for a fermenter? If so how do you like it? How is it to clean? Can you put a valve or anything on the bottom for easy transfer?

Yeah,

I have 2 15 gallon ones that I do large batches in. I had to add spigots but that was easy enough. They are very heavy with 10 gallons or more. Easy to clean, it's a cheap way to do large batches. You will need help to move these guys when it's time to bottle/keg unless you build something to put them on.

We have 23 of the 55 gallon open tops that we ferment wine in. Works great, we've been using them for years.
