I've been growing a starter of bottle dregs from a Duvel. After some reading I'm getting conflicting answers. Does Duvel use a different yeast for bottling?
From what I have read it is the same yeast - anyone else?
However, I have used the yeast in the bottle to culture and brew with many times - I get a bit more apricot than apple or pear like Duvel. It's a solid yeast.
Cool thanks for the reassurance. I was hoping it was but had read in a couple of places it was different. I'm really looking forward to brewing with it. Glad to hear you personally used it and got good results.
