Hello all,

I'm looking for some advice to fix my beer. I dry hopped in a keg for the first time about a week ago, and apparently the mesh bag I used wasn't fine enough for pellet hops, as I now have hop particulate in every pour. My first four pints were practically sludge, and even after pulling off maybe a half gallon, well, see the photos. Is there any way that I can fix this?

Thank you in advance for your response, this forum is invaluable.

A cold fining agent should do the trick.. Gelatine is pretty easy to use..

Thanks for the response, will that still work with beer being already carbonated? I've never used gelatin before. I did find a guide online.

This is pretty much the method I use and my beer is pretty much crystal clear. I have not had a dry hop sac malfunction however... I am sure it will help some letting it alone for awhile will also let those particles drop out although it could take awhile with no help from gelatin.

Great tutorial! Do you gelatin dry hopped beers? I read that it could strip aroma/oils.. This pale ale had a massive 6 oz dry hop. I suppose if I don't put gelatin in it I could run the risk of getting a grassy flavor from all the particulate.

Ive never cold crashed, but would cold crashing help those little guys drop to the bottom of the fermenter?

Add Gelatine, wait 3 days. Take one pint. Wait another 2 or 3 days. Take another pint.

Then it will probably be just right.

Got it, gelatin it is. Thanks for the help, folks.
