So my ph has stabilized, but my beer fermented hot so it has those apple esters in it. I'm going to leave it in primary for another 3 weeks. Will dry hopping now hurt the reduction of those esters? Is there any benefit dry hoping now opposed to a week before bottling?

Thanks

I'd wait till a week before bottling to dry hop. You'll get more hop aroma that way. Let it sit & clean up those off flavors first.

Dry hopping for too long will cause grassy, vegetive off flavors. I'd never recommend dry hopping for over ten days. A week seems ideal from what I've seen.

Thanks! My job makes me break stuff to see and know how it works. That's why I ask weird questions like I do.

Edit: and that got me thinking, will leaving the hops from the boil in the primary the entire time, will it cause the same grassy, vegetative taste?
