So last year I brewed a pumpkin ale and for like 2 months, every bottle I tried was flat and tasted like crap. I thought for sure they got infected. So I told myself I was going to dump the batch (like 12 bottles). Well, I am lazy and never dumped them...I just left the bottles in my basement. So today, I was curious and chilled one and opened it....to my surprise it was beautifully carbed and had a sour taste that was really great. Kind of like a Gose. So I have a sour pumpkin! Lesson learned...don't give up on your beer! Nature does some miraculous things :).
