Doing research to make my first batch of mead.

My name is Karin. I have been researching making mead while I slowly order the equipment and ingredients needed to make my first meads. I am very close. I am making my first batches to memorialize a friend who passed. I want to mark his passing by getting his friends together at a bon fire and sharing this mead with everyone and pouring one out for him. There will be good friends and many stories shared. He would have wanted it that way.
