I am looking at some Extract recipes and I see some calling for DME Pilsen, DME Amber, DME Light, LME Wheat, LME Pilsen...

My Local homebrew store on their website lists out only having the following:
DME - Bavarian Wheat
DME - Golden Light
DME - Sparkling Amber

LME - Pilsen Light
LME Golden Light

A DME pilsen isn't the same as a Light is it?

They do sound like Briess products.

The Pilsen Light is a pilsner extract. The Golden Light is the ale extract, as is the amber.

Both the Pilsen and Golden Light are made with base malts and also added carapils to help with head retention.

Follow Oginme's recommendation. Pilsen is made from Pilsner Malt where Golden light is a mix of 2 Row and Carapils.

Breiss also makes a Munich LME. If that ever interests you, you could ask the LHBS to order some in for you. At my LHBS I can also get Maris Otter LME (but it's not Breiss).

Cheers,

The pilsen DME is about the same as what others call extra light. I only use the "plain" (un-hopped) varieties.
