Did my first double ten gallon batches today with a counter flow chiller from more beer. In az my tap water is 95. Chilling is an issue. I whirl pooled through the counter flow with tap water and was going back into the kettle at 105. Ten gallons down to 125 in ten minutes just with tap water. Then disconnected the hose and hooked up the fountain pump from a tub of ice water, and was going into the fermenter at 70. At one point I restricted the flow and was going in at 50!!! Had to open it up to increase the temp into the fermenter. Just shaved so much time off my day amazing. Before we were going into fermenter around 95 or 100 and then had to wait hours for the chest freezer to chill to pitch temp. It was awful.
