Justinnn said:I have not been to maltose express though I have heard of it. Monroe is kind of far from Hartford, when you have 2 brew stores right next to each other. Only problem is one is kind of small and the other guy is a moron. I'll have to check it out someday.
neckbone said:Morebeer.com has 4 reconditioned for $99 shipped, right now. Just got mine, one wasn't reconditioned, but they're sending me a few gasket kits so I can fix one and have a few spares on hand. I couldn't find any better price, especially after shipping.

This site sells pairs of two for $32 plus shipping. Might be cheaper depending on the shipping cost of the kegs, but you'll have to research that for your particular area.
the_bird said:I was just going to suggest Morebeer's sale... but the fact that they sent you a non-reconditioned keg, when in fact they promised those would be fully reconditioned, is further evidence that morebeer's customer service bites donkey balls. The more I hear about this crap - getting the order wrong, even if they later fix it - makes me less and less inclined to give them ANY business.
Monster Mash said:I've ordered from them many times with no problems. One thing you have to remember is that most people only talk about thier bad experience, the people that got exactly what they ordered don't talk about it.

I get the non-reconditioned kegs from brewers discount…2 for $32 and they’re great. The keg in the pic below is from there and I just got 4 more…total of 8 from there.Brew-boy said:You may want to check this place out. I bought 4 kegs that are rebuilt for $23 each. There are great nice and shinny and no dents.

All have great seals and are in fine working order. You can see that even the exterior is pretty darn nice.
Mine have never needed anything new. Never any root beer smells, no bad o-rings.Beerrific said:So, do the $16 (2 for $32) kegs need any thing new? I assume they need new gaskets, but do they assure you everything else is good. There must be some difference between them and the rebuilt $23 ones.

I think they just have a pretty good stock on hand of good stuff.
The difference between these and the reconditioned is that the reconditioned have been uh reconditioned. Whether they needed it or not.
Now, thats not to say that the un-recond stock will always be good-to-go. But at least I can save $7 apiece and Ill determine if they need new rings or not.

No cleaning for me. They came that way.Bike N Brew said:Munch, did you clean that up, or did it come to you that sparkly and shiny? That looks a far sight better than the 4 for $60 I got from NB awhile back...damn, I might need a couple more cornies.
