Conduit to run tubing from outside to inside.

I've been mulling over the idea of installing some sort of conduit to give myself a way to run tubing from outside my house into the basement. Anyone done something like this and have any advice?

I'm the thinking I'd obviously need to have a way to close the conduit when not in use. Other than that, I'm basically imagining a tube of solid wall construction that I could feed a silicone tube through. I'd gravity feed from the kettle outside to the fermenter inside.

That sounds like a cool idea. Then you can just use a submerged pump to run everything through it; cleaner, wort, etc.

Metal electrical conduit would probably work the best. It can be bent for a smooth curve if needed.
