Well, I'm planning on brewing a RIS on Black Friday and I'm about to get a starter going. I have 2 vials I'm wanting to use up, white labs Irish ale and also the super San Diego. Would it be a BAD idea to maybe combine these 2? I'm up for some experimenting.

It wouldn't be a BAD idea to combine them. Nothing terrible will happen. But, to be honest, with these 2 strains I don't see the point. Super San Diego is supposed to be a very clean fermenter, meaning you probably won't notice much of an impact on the Irish Ale yeast. I'd focus my energy on good yeast handling practices and making a big 'ol starter.

I'll probably split them between the two fermenters, going with a big ole 10 gallon batch of this!
Still formulating a recipe, it's going to be a coffee RIS
