hi
I am looking for clear or green bottles for cider bottling. Larger than 12oz. 16oz or bigger.

Anyone know where to source these? i need prob 4-6 cases.
and please dont give me a bunch of advice about light making it skunky or whatever your opinion might be

Contact a local restaurant or night club to see if they'll save you a couple of cases and arrange for a pick up time & date.

You can recycle whatever bottles you don't want.

TIP: If possible, it would be EASIER to have a collection of bottles that are all the same size. An assortment of sizes doesn't work well. One workaround for that is to use the odd bottles for gifting. Just tell them you don't need the bottles back. (You can always pick up odd sized bottles later).

Start drinking Grolsch beer... it comes in green swing-top 15.5 oz bottles... you get to drink the beer, and you get a free bottle out of it.

Martinelli's sparkling cider at your local grocery store (assuming US-based). They can be capped with a 26-mm crown cap.

Skunking only happens if you have hops in the mix.

Hi. I should have been more clear. i want to buy bottles that are 500-750ml in clear or green. swing top are too expensive. at lease from a homebrew store. i need 100-200 . anyone have any ideas that dont involve me drinking or pouring out lots of beer/other liquids

Google gave a couple of options:
https://unitedbottles.com/product-tag/sparkling-wine-bottles

thanks for the reply. ive googled this up and down and left and right but fyi united bottle and bottle expess both require you buy a pallets worth which sorta kills it for me.

i am trying to not do regular champagne bottles but that will be my final option. so anyone else have any ideas????
thanks

Been told that ALDI does a pumpkin cider in brown swingtops for Halloween. Around $1-00 per bottle. Keeping watch.
Also bought Grolsch[15oz] green off Craigslist. Usual asking is 2-00 per bottle, but I can get them with beer in them at Sherlocks for that price. Settled on 1-00 per bottle. Here's a dreamer asking 30-00 per bottle.

"Vintage Grolsch bottles porcelain tops with new seals. over 40 years old. price is for 1bottle. I have 26 bottles or $750 for all"

If you can use swing top (grolsh style bottles) every homebrew store online carries them as well as Amazon.
If you need traditional beer bottles I have never seen clear or green 16 oz bottles.

Op said 16 oz bottles...

Contact a local microbrewery that bottles and ask if they can order you some from their supplier when they put an order together...
